An homage to Miley? Less than a week after she was released from the Malibu facility where she was being treated for mental illness, Amanda Bynes stepped out walking her dog and wearing a "Twerk Team" hat.
The troubled star has remained fairly tight-lipped since her exit from the facility, but she has expressed an interest in studying fashion design in college.
Bynes' fashion choice could possibly be a peace offering to fellow former child star Miley Cyrus. Before rehab, Bynes, 27, used her go-to insult and called Cyrus, 21, "ugly" on Twitter in June 2013. At the time, Cyrus responded to the slam calmly, saying in a radio interview, "I won't even entertain that thought. I think it's all so sad and I don't want to add any fuel to that fire. It's really so sad to me. I was rooting for her comeback until [she] started attacking me."
But after rocker Sinead O'Connor warned Cyrus to tone down her party girl ways, the "Wrecking Ball" singer retorted by posting a throwback picture of O'Connor ripping a picture of the Pope and captioned it, "Before Amanda Bynes…. There was…"
An indignant and furious O'Connor briefly threatened legal action before calling a truce.
So far Bynes has been keeping a low profile following her rehab stint and has avoided all social media.
"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," her attorney Tamar Arminak told Us Weekly following her release from rehab. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."
