Let's hope those diamonds always bring her luck. Kim Kardashian didn't just channel the late Elizabeth Taylor in her latest Instagram selfie -- she copied the screen legend in a loving mirror-image tribute. The reality star, 32, stands in front of a classic photo of Taylor in which the Cleopatra actress is seen from the eyes up -- gazing at the camera, wearing a wrapped-up towel as headpiece and, with her left hand across her forehead, flashes a gigantic diamond ring. North West's mama mimics the pose, down to the towel-turban and huge bling (this one her engagement ring from Kanye West). Her caption for the shot? "#Myidol"
It's not the first time Kardashian has paid homage to the beloved, Academy-award winning actress: The E! star recreated Taylor's Cleopatra look, and conducted the final interview with the Dame in the March 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar shortly before Taylor's death at age 79.
Kardashian also paid $64,900 for a set of Lorraine Schwartz bangles once owned by Taylor in a Christie's auction later that year. "Elizabeth Taylor was an idol of mine and I'm honored to now own something from her collection," Kardashian told Us Weekly at the time.
"The Lorraine Schwartz jade bracelets are special because jade transfers energy, so I will cherish these bracelets with her energy in them for the rest of my life!"
